I am running for Montana Legislature in House District 44 which represents the west half of the Billings Heights
I am a small business owner in the Heights and have been part of the community for over 40 years. I grew up just down the road on the Huntley Project when the major road to Billings was Main Street. The Heights has always been a vital part of Yellowstone County and plays a major role in the development of Billings. The population continues to grow making the Heights one of the largest cities in Montana. It has been considered the bedroom community of Billings. What happens when it is time to wake up a sleeping giant? My concerns:Jobs and cost of doing business in the Heights, improve the Heights for small business owners, strengthen the public schools and defend Social Security and Medicare.
I am worried about our democracy. It is time for people to come together even with our differences because we all believe in the same thing our country and our way of life. The poet Robert Frost said it best in the poem Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening - " I have many miles to go before I sleep".
